The World’s Largest Indoor Theme Park At Dubai Is The Ultimate In Entertainment
One of the newest and most exciting amusement parks of the world was opened to the public on 31 August 2016. IMG or the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group Worlds of Adventure is the world’s largest indoor theme park at 1.5 million square feet in area – it is as big as 28 football fields. It took three years to build at a cost of a billion dollars plus.
The first international theme park to open in Dubai, it is expected to permanently transform the entertainment and leisure industry. According to IMG Worlds of Adventure, over 4.5 million footfalls are expected at the park in the first year of operations.
The Bollywood Park
India’s vibrant and famous Bollywood film industry gets representation at the theme. This is the first of its kind in the world. The setting is colossal with 16 cinematic rides and 30 live shows held across seven different stages. The biggest attraction is the Rajmahal Theatre which will host Bollywood musicals in true Broadway style. The theatre has the capacity to seat 850 people.
The park has been cleverly demarcated by designers into a mock city streets and jungle trails of the prehistoric type. At present it comprises of Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure, and IMG Boulevard zones.
Marvel Zone
The Marvel zone has rides featuring characters such as Thor and Captain America. Hulk Epsilon ride takes you on a spin in a 3D environment. The Spiderman Doc Ock’s Revenge is a spinning rollercoaster that propels you through the NY skyline.
The Lost Valley
The Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure zone features The Velociraptor, which ejects riders into the desert at an incredible 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. It also hosts 70 full sized animatronic dinosaurs.
IMG Boulevard
IMG Boulevard is the park’s area dedicated to dining and retailing facilities. The extremely terrifying, age-restricted Haunted Hotel is a chilling maze of scary corridors and creepy characters. You are likely to run into a bloodied butcher and hanging corpses and many such eerie settings.
The park expects to attract around 30,000 visitors on peak days. At present there are 22 thrilling rides and amazing attractions. The park offers visitors 25 retail and 28 food and beverage outlets. Together, they are expected to add up to a quarter of the park’s total revenue.
