A visa is an official travel document provided by the government of a country to allow individuals of a foreign origin to enter that country. The requirements, time needed for processing and the fees vary according to the type of visa needed and the country.

Australia: Continent Oceania
Australia offers three types of visas – Electronic Travel Authority, eVisitor and Visitor Visa.
Visitor Visa is issued to persons who visit Australia for business or leisure reasons. The visa is valid for three, six or twelve months. The application charge for Visitor Visa is AUD 130 to 335. Cheaper or free visa is available for passport holders of specific types. The eVisitor visa is issued free of charge. Electronic Travel Authority visa attracts a service charge of AUD 20.
France: Continent Europe
France is a member of the Schengen Agreement and issues Schengen tourist visa which allow tourists to stay here for a period of three months. Your passport must have at least 90 days validity and a minimum of two blank pages. All identification pages of the passport must be submitted in duplicate. You are also required to submit hotel reservation/ tour details and proof of medical insurance coverage for the period you are in the country. The fee for each application is approximately $83 or 60 Euros.
Singapore: Continent Asia
All applications must be submitted to the Singapore High Commission using the latest electronic visa application system. The Singapore Tourist form has to be filled carefully. The passport must have at least six months validity from the date of departure to Singapore. Application must be accompanied by a fee of $30. Processing is done with a day if all the conditions are met.
Canada: North America
The Canada visa application forms can be submitted online. The visa officer will decide if you are required to give an interview. If needed, the time and place will be intimidated well in advance. You will have to fill the Canada Tourist form accurately. Your passport must have at least six months validity from the date of departure to Canada. You must also present travel documents, including valid hotel reservations, and travel itinerary. An original certificate of your identity and financial status is also mandatory. The Canada Visa Fees for each application is approximately $80.
